OutRoute may request proof of age, identity or eligibility at any time, and may suspend or permanently terminate without notice any account operated by a person under eighteen (18).

03Account Registration

To access certain Services you must create an Account. You agree to give accurate, current and complete information, keep it updated, keep your credentials confidential, and tell OutRoute immediately of any unauthorised use.

You are solely responsible for all activity conducted through your Account. OutRoute is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to maintain the security of your Account credentials.

04Account Verification

OutRoute may verify Users by phone, email, government identification, selfie or other identity-verification technology, and may add further verification requirements at any time.

Verification is not a guarantee of any User’s identity, conduct, trustworthiness, safety, qualifications, intentions or reliability.

05Description of Services

OutRoute is a technology platform that lets Users discover, host and join trips and experiences, take part in Community Events, create and share travel memories, chat in groups, organise travel-related activities, use AI-powered itinerary planning, and access future travel services.

OutRoute provides technology services only. OutRoute does not own, operate, supervise, control, manage, direct, inspect or guarantee User-Hosted Trips.

06User-Hosted Trips

User-Hosted Trips are organised independently by Users, who are solely responsible for their planning, organisation, conduct, management and execution. OutRoute does not review, inspect, verify, supervise, monitor, endorse or guarantee them, and participation is entirely voluntary.

Users participate in User-Hosted Trips solely at their own risk.

07Host Status

Hosts are independent users. Hosts are NOT employees, contractors, agents, representatives, affiliates, partners, tour operators or authorised spokespersons of OutRoute.

No employment, partnership, agency, joint venture, franchise or representative relationship exists between OutRoute and any Host. Hosts act solely in their personal capacity.

08Community Events

OutRoute or third-party agencies may organise Community Events. Participation may carry additional event rules, participation agreements, waivers, safety requirements, registration requirements and payment requirements, and separate terms may apply that supplement these Terms.

OutRoute may deny participation in any Community Event at its sole discretion.

09User Conduct

Users agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable law;
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate or abuse others;
  • Engage in discrimination based on race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, disability or any protected characteristic;
  • Post fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or false information;
  • Solicit money fraudulently;
  • Promote illegal activities;
  • Upload malware, viruses, harmful code or malicious software;
  • Interfere with platform operations;
  • Impersonate another person or entity;
  • Use the Services for unlawful purposes;
  • Infringe intellectual property rights;
  • Collect information about other Users without authorisation;
  • Use automated scraping tools without written authorisation from OutRoute.

OutRoute may investigate violations and take any action deemed appropriate.

10User Content

Users may upload photos (termed “memories”), captions, comments, messages, profile information, trip descriptions and other Content.

Users own their Content. By submitting it you grant OutRoute a worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, distribute and use it solely to operate, improve, promote and maintain the Services.

You warrant that you hold all necessary rights to your Content and that it breaks no law, infringes no third-party right, and is not defamatory, fraudulent, abusive or misleading. OutRoute may remove Content at any time without notice.

Zero tolerance. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on OutRoute. You can report any post, comment, message, trip or profile from within the app, and block any user. We review every report and act on it within 24 hours, removing the content and, where warranted, suspending or banning the account responsible.

PART 2

Safety, Liability, Disclaimers & Legal Protections

11Safety Disclaimer

OutRoute does not guarantee the safety, legality, quality, suitability, reliability, identity, qualifications, conduct, intentions or actions of any User, Host, Participant, third party, location, venue, accommodation provider, transportation provider or service provider.

Interacting with other Users may involve risks including, without limitation, physical injury, illness, disability, death, theft, fraud, harassment, assault, property damage, emotional distress, financial loss, criminal conduct and the negligence of other Users.

Users are solely responsible for exercising reasonable judgment and caution with other Users, online and offline. OutRoute does not perform comprehensive background checks on Users.

12Assumption of Risk

By using the Services, joining Trips, attending Community Events, communicating with Users or engaging in any activity facilitated through OutRoute, you voluntarily assume all associated risks, including without limitation:

  • Travel risks — flight cancellations, transportation delays, missed connections, road accidents, vehicle failures, border restrictions, visa issues;
  • Outdoor activity risks — hiking injuries, camping accidents, wildlife encounters, falls, drowning, environmental hazards, extreme weather;
  • Social risks — disputes with Users, misrepresentation, harassment, assault, theft, fraud;
  • Health risks — illness, infectious diseases, food poisoning, allergic reactions, medical emergencies;
  • Other risks — natural disasters, political unrest, terrorist activity, civil disturbances and force majeure events.

You acknowledge that participation in any Trip or Community Event is entirely voluntary and undertaken at your own risk.

13Release of Claims

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you release and forever discharge OutRoute, its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, successors and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, causes of action, losses, damages, costs, expenses and injuries arising from or relating to User-Hosted Trips; Community Events; interactions with other Users; travel, transport and accommodation arrangements; third-party services; and injury, death, theft, assault, fraud, property damage or emotional distress.

This release applies whether claims arise in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, statute, equity or otherwise. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

14No Travel Agency or Tour Operator Status

OutRoute is not a travel agency, tour operator, transport provider, airline, hotel provider, travel guide, travel consultant, security provider, insurer or emergency response provider. OutRoute does not arrange transport, supervise trips, conduct safety inspections, verify destinations, or guarantee accommodation, travel services or event quality.

Trip information on the Services is supplied by Users or generated by automated systems and may contain inaccuracies.

15AI Itinerary Services Disclaimer

OutRoute may provide AI-generated itineraries, recommendations, schedules, routes, budgets and activity suggestions. Users acknowledge that AI can make mistakes; that information can go out of date as weather, business availability and transport schedules change; that costs may differ from estimates; and that attractions may become unavailable.

AI-generated information is provided for informational purposes only. Users must independently verify all travel-related information before relying upon it. OutRoute makes no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness, reliability, safety, availability or suitability of AI-generated content.

16Third-Party Services

The Services may link to or integrate with third parties, including hotels, airlines, restaurants, transport providers, payment processors, mapping services and communication platforms. OutRoute does not control them and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, performance, security, conduct, content or policies. Your dealings with a third party are solely between you and that third party.

17Future Travel, Stay & Food Services (TSF)

OutRoute may later introduce booking and reservation features, including flight, hotel and hostel bookings, restaurant reservations, transport bookings and activity reservations. Additional terms may apply, and nothing in these Terms guarantees that any TSF feature will be made available.

18Account Suspension and Termination

OutRoute may suspend, restrict, disable or terminate any Account at its sole discretion where these Terms or the Community Guidelines are breached, where fraud or illegal activity is suspected, where safety concerns arise, or where regulatory compliance requires it.

OutRoute may remove Content or Accounts without notice, and Users whose Accounts are terminated may be barred from creating new ones.

19Account Deletion

Users may delete their Account from the app at any time, or by asking OutRoute. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone: the profile, login identities, sessions, posts and their photos, follows, push tokens, notifications, saved itineraries and join requests are erased, and the photo files are deleted from storage.

An Account cannot be deleted while it holds a live booking or hosts a Trip other Users have booked — cancel or complete those first, so that nobody’s payment is stranded.

Some records outlive the Account because they are not only about the departing User: messages already sent in group chats stay visible to preserve conversation integrity, and shared expense and booking records are retained as other Users’ financial records. Deleted Users appear as “Deleted User” in historical records and chats. Information OutRoute must keep to meet a legal obligation is also retained. Section 06 of the Privacy Policy lists what is kept and why.

20Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUTROUTE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE OR ENHANCED DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, BUSINESS OR OPPORTUNITY, PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUTROUTE’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (a) INR 1,000; OR (b) THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY THE USER TO OUTROUTE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

21Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless OutRoute and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, contractors, licensors, successors and assigns against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, expenses, penalties, fines and legal fees arising from your use of the Services, your Content, your participation in Trips, your breach of these Terms or of applicable law, or your interactions with other Users.

22Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. OUTROUTE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY AND RELIABILITY. OUTROUTE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE OR THAT THEY WILL MEET USER EXPECTATIONS.

PART 3

Intellectual Property, Payments, Disputes & General Legal Provisions

23Intellectual Property Rights

All rights, title and interest in the OutRoute platform — software, designs, user interfaces, logos, branding, graphics, source code, databases, features, functionality, trademarks, trade dress and documentation — belong to OutRoute or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law.

Except as OutRoute expressly authorises, Users may not copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, create derivative works from or commercially exploit any part of the Services. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

24Feedback and Suggestions

Users may send feedback, suggestions, feature requests and ideas. By doing so you grant OutRoute a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, modify, implement, distribute and commercialise that feedback without compensation or obligation.

25Future Payment Services

Some Services may later require payment, including Community Events, premium features, subscription plans, TSF services, flight and hotel bookings, restaurant reservations and partner experiences. OutRoute may introduce, change, suspend or discontinue fees at any time; fees, taxes and payment terms will be disclosed before purchase.

26Community Event Payments

For Community Events run by OutRoute or third-party agencies, registration fees and event-specific terms may apply, refund eligibility may depend on event-specific policies, and participation may be denied on safety, compliance or operational grounds. OutRoute may cancel, postpone, reschedule or modify Community Events where reasonably necessary.

27Refunds

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, payments, promotional purchases, convenience fees and service fees are non-refundable. Refund policies for future products may vary and will be disclosed at the time of purchase.

28Electronic Communications

By using the Services you consent to receive communications electronically, including notices, disclosures, agreements, updates, security notifications and account communications. These satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

29Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Nothing in them limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

30Dispute Resolution

Initial resolution. Users must first try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting OutRoute, negotiating in good faith for thirty (30) days.

Mediation. If that fails, the parties may attempt mediation before arbitration.

Binding arbitration. Any dispute, controversy, claim or disagreement arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Services, User interactions, Community Events, User-Hosted Trips or AI Services will be settled by final and binding arbitration in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (unless applicable law requires otherwise), conducted in English. The arbitrator’s decision is final and binding on both parties.

31Class Action Waiver

To the maximum extent permitted by law, disputes will be resolved individually. Users waive any right to join class actions or representative proceedings, to act as a private attorney general, or to consolidate claims with other Users. Where law prohibits such a waiver, this clause applies to the maximum extent permitted.

32Force Majeure

OutRoute is not liable for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, fires, epidemics, pandemics, government action, regulatory restrictions, civil unrest, labour disputes, utility failures, internet outages, cyber attacks, acts of war or terrorism. Performance is suspended for the duration of the event.

33No Waiver

OutRoute’s failure to enforce any provision does not waive that or any other provision. Any waiver must be made expressly in writing by an authorised OutRoute representative.

34Severability

If any provision is unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain in full force, and the invalid provision will be modified only as far as needed to make it enforceable while preserving its original intent.

35Assignment

Users may not assign, transfer or delegate their rights or obligations under these Terms without OutRoute’s prior written consent. OutRoute may assign or transfer its own at any time, including on a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets or financing.

36Entire Agreement

These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Event Policies and Additional Service Terms, are the entire agreement between Users and OutRoute concerning the Services, and supersede all prior agreements, understandings and communications about them.

37Modifications to the Terms

OutRoute may modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions take effect on publication, and OutRoute will give notice of material changes where the law requires. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect is acceptance of the revised Terms.
